Nixle Alerts

The Board has approved a move from CodeRED to Nixle Emergency Alerts. Nixle offers added functionality that residents have asked for - public service announcements, road closures, etc - at a greatly reduced price. We need to get everyone transitioned to Nixle before winter road restrictions begin.

Use the Widget at the right:

Simply fill in the information, check the little checkbox, and hit the Sign Up button.

To Sign Up via Mobile Phone:

1. Send a text message to 888777
2. in the message type "BVSAlerts" without the quotation marks
3. Nixle will respond with a confirmation message.
4. respond with "EMAIL" without the quotation marks
5. Enter your email address when prompted

From the web:

1. Visit www.nixle.com
2. Sign in or create an account. If you have an account but don't know your password, you can text "password" to 888777 and Nixle will send it to you
3. Under the "Account" tab, enter your email address and landline (home) phone number, then select which number you want to receive voice messages.
4. Under the "Settings" tab check the box to subscribe to Bear Valley CSD
5. Check the box in the Email column to receive non-emergency alerts (road closures/restrictions, severe weather alerts, etc)
