The resident-focused Disaster Preparedness Plan, a Plan Quick Reference Guide, and six Plan improvement recommendations were presented at the April 19, 2022 Disaster Preparedness Advisory Council (DPAC) monthly meeting.

DPAC voted unanimously to present the items to the Public Safety Committee (PSC) at their April 21, 2022 meeting. A copy of the items can be found at Disaster Preparedness Advisory Council, April 19, Meeting Package.

At the April 21, PSC meeting, the Plan and associated documents were reviewed and approved for presentation to the BVCSD Board of Directors at their May 12, 2022 meeting.

The Plan is a living document. Once approved, it will be regularly reviewed and revised to ensure it remains a viable and timely guide for BVS residents to prepare for and successfully respond to disaster events.
