We are in the process of revisiting our Outreach Communications Plan and need your input to make it more effective. These questions will take approximately 5-10 minutes of your time.
One of the first steps our new General Manager undertook when he started was hiring a Communications Specialist and tasking that person with the development of a communications plan that would define how the District could and should be expected to perform community outreach. After review and recommendation by the Communications Committee, The CSD Board of Directors adopted the Plan by resolution on May 9, 2019.
Tell me more about this plan...
It's a policy-driven approach to providing the community with needed information. The communications plan defines who needs information when it should be delivered, and what channels we use to provide it. The Plan's development included several forms of analysis to gauge the effectiveness of existing communications. Each time we review and update the Plan, we conduct a new study to measure the change between then and now. These metrics help us determine what is working and identify where we need to focus our efforts to improve. This Plan plays a vital role in helping us to ensure that we are communicating effectively with you.
With vital infrastructure and public safety projects on the horizon, it is important to us that our community knows what is happening, and why. It is equally important that we are able to listen to and recognize concerns among the residents.
We truly appreciate your feedback and look forward to using this information to improve our communications with our community.
